Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to Word Pop (wordpop.co.uk), a spelling game for children from Nursery to Year 5. Word Pop is provided by Word Pop Ltd ("we", "us"). When you use Word Pop, your agreement is with Word Pop Ltd.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating a parent account or continuing to use Word Pop, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.

2. Who can sign up

Parent accounts must be created by an adult of legal age who is responsible for the children using the service. Children play under the parent's account and never need their own.

3. The service

Word Pop is an online spelling game with spoken words, stars, rewards, certificates and AI-generated word lists. A paid monthly subscription is required to play.

4. Your account

Keep your sign-in details private and your information accurate. You are responsible for activity under your account.

5. Acceptable use

You must not misuse Word Pop, including by:

• using it for anything unlawful;
• fraud, spam or impersonation;
• infringing anyone's intellectual property;
• interfering with security, including uploading malware, probing for weaknesses or scraping;
• reverse engineering, reselling or redistributing the service, or getting around technical limits.

6. AI-generated content

Some word lists, pictures cues and voice are produced by AI. They may occasionally be inaccurate, so please supervise younger children. We may filter or remove content and restrict accounts that misuse AI features. Word Pop is a learning game, not professional educational advice.

7. Intellectual property

Word Pop Ltd owns Word Pop and all its software, artwork, characters, documentation and branding. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your family while your subscription is active. If you believe something on Word Pop infringes your rights, email wordpop.co.uk@gmail.com and we will review and remove it where appropriate.

8. Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, renewal, cancellation and refund terms are set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms. The subscription renews monthly until cancelled; when you cancel you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

9. Service availability

We work hard to keep Word Pop running well, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the service is provided "as is" without implied warranties.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access if there is a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious misuse. When an account ends, its child profiles and progress may be deleted; contact us beforehand if you would like a copy of your certificates.

11. Liability

Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

12. General

We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You may not transfer your account without our consent. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction.
